[1]Infonetics Research said the WiMAX market defied the recession in the second quarter, growing 12 percent sequentially to $255 million because of growth in the U.S. and India.
"The second quarter showed signs that the WiMAX market has passed through the bottom of the slowdown trough, and the outlook is cautiously optimistic for steadier growth returning to the market by the end of the year," said Richard Webb, the firm's directing analyst for WiMAX, microwave and mobile devices.
