ABI: LTE operators to spend $8.6B on infrastructure by 2013

Wireless operators that have decided to deploy LTE will continue to invest in base stations, despite a poor economic environment, predicts ABI Research. The research firm estimates that operators will spend more than $8.6 billion on LTE base station infrastructure by 2013. Verizon Wireless and NTT DoCoMo are expected to launch LTE this year. Release
