Lawsuit claims Clearwire pre-WiMAX service unreliable

Tools

Some Clearwire customers are seeking class-action status for a lawsuit against the operator that alleges the company's pre-WiMAX Internet and phone service is slow and unreliable. The lawsuit seeks an injunction against Clearwire to prohibit it from enforcing early termination fees (ETFs), which the customers assert is illegal, and from making false advertising about its service.

The complaint, filed in King County, Wash., alleges that "when [Clearwire customers] seek to cancel their Clearwire service because they discover that, in fact, Clearwire service is slow and unreliable (or for any other reason), the consumers learn that their long-term contracts contain an Early Termination Fee provision pursuant to which Clearwire charges a fee of up to $220 for canceling."

Clearwire spokeswoman Susan Johnston said that as a matter of company policy, Clearwire does not comment on pending legal matters.

Thanks to the dipsheits at Sprint corp.
I would love to be a part of any class action suit against Clearwire, being a disgruntled former customer. Clearwire does attempt to defraud and steal from consumers. The average consumer is not aware that normal surfing that I believe to include You Tube viewing and gaming are no no's to CW. They claim that their modem is worth hundreds of dollars, but it is worth no more than a toothbrush. I keep reading about how all of these big companies are doing deals with them. Don't they know or care how CW is really perceived by the consumer. They should check on that.
The service they provide is unreliable and randomly cuts into unusable speeds. Not to mention the underhanded fees should you want to leave
