Leap launches unlimited, prepaid wireless broadband in all markets
Leap Wireless, which operates under the Cricket brand, has launched a $40 per month unlimited EV-DO Rev A data service to customers in all of its markets.
The service, promoted as a DSL or cable alternative, is distinct not only for its low price but because it is offered to customers on a prepaid basis, without credit checks or a service contract. Its target users are low-income customers who do not have broadband Internet services in their homes. The service works on Windows-based PCs that connect to the network via a USB modem.

Anyone who buys Cricket for Broadband access is crazy! Between the "fine print", limited access and slow speeds your better off looking for a HotSpot.
Take a look at www.slingshot.com. I purchased Slingshot after we dumped Cricket to use when traveling across the country in our motorcoach. Slingshot has much better coverage, faster speeds and their customer support was friendly and helpful. A very refreshing change from most of the other companies.

Dear Blaze,
You are right about Slingshot. That company is doing a great job. I used them as my dialup ISP and now as my wireless provide. But you should throw Leap/Cricket a bone... They've only went BK once so far. Try them again after their next BK. Perhaps the government will bail them out also. L.O.L.

they are out of their f****** minds if they think i am going to pay $250 dollars and then another 60 on top of that for wireless service. i wonder if there are other companies available. i am having a hard time getting wireless for a laptop i bought in dec and have yet to use online. i can't believe that i am unable to get service through my regular phone provider. but such is life for those of us who seem to have no rights to what others get if we aren't perfect a**lickers.

years ago I got T-Mobile, $30/m unlimited .. Gsm/Gprs/EDGE .. their service is approaching 3G .. I can hit 2G often on highways .. it's nice surfing the web at 80 mph!
Can Verizon do that? I have Verizon, useless at home..
Find someone with old T-mobile $30/m ..
