Metric: 802.11n huge promise for muni-WiFi

Tools

Analyst firm Novarum says muni-WiFi networks are "far from dead" and promise to operate just as reliable as existing cellular data services if 802.11n client devices or high-performance adapters and high-gain antennas are used. Novarum found that 802.11n client devices not only worked on current muni-WiFi networks, but they were able to pull signals in instances where traditional 802.11 a,b & g devices were not and worked without difficulty in areas where traditional devices registered weak signals.
