Public WiFi hotspots aren't so secure after all

Security experts have figured out a way to grab login data via public WiFi networks. According to Errata Security, hackers can steal cookies to allow them to pose as the end user. That means hackers could gain access to mail messages or pages users have on social websites such as MySpace. Prior to Errata's demonstration at the Black Hat hackers conference, which involved the live hijacking of a Google mail account (GMail), many sites were thought to be safe because of data encryption.
