Report: Addressable market for mobile broadband to reach 4.5B by 2013

Research from TeleGeography indicates the addressable global market for 3G/4G services will grow to more than 4.5 billion potential subscribers by the end of 2013. The figure will represent 71 percent of all wireless subscribers. The firm said nearly all wireless subscribers in Europe will have the potential to access mobile broadband services, while the addressable market in the Asia-Pacific region is less, about 60 percent, because of the cost and difficult involved in extending coverage to rural areas.
