Sierra Wireless buys Junxion

Sierra Wireless has purchased the assets of Junxion for an undisclosed amount. Junxion offers the Junxion Box that essentially creates a hotspot that allows users to remotely connect to WiFi and share 3G connections. The box enables applications such as telemetry, landline replacement, landline fail-over and video monitoring--all heavy data-loading applications. Junxion's technology is already used by AT&T, Verizon Wireless and Sprint Nextel. Sierra plans to incorporate Junxion with its mobile and machine-to-machine groups.
