SPOTLIGHT: Early adopters want WiFi/cellular phones

A recent survey of U.S. early adopters found that nearly half of those respondents planning to replace their mobile phones want WiFi capability. That news bodes well for T-Mobile, which is set to roll out its FMC service shortly. In-Stat notes that more than 100 different models of WiFi/mobile phones will be certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance by the end of the year. Moreover, many of the issues with early Wi-Fi/mobile handsets, such as limited battery life, will be resolved in models released during 2007, the research firm said. Release
