Virgin Mobile places more restrictions on mobile broadband plans

Tools

Just last month Virgin Mobile, the prepaid brand of Sprint (NYSE:S), changed its mobile broadband plans to cap subscribers' data throughput speed if they went over 5 GB. Now Virgin is taking even more drastic measures by eliminating this $40 "unlimited" plan altogether and instead charging $50 for an "unlimited" plan with a  2.5 GB cap. If users exceed the 2.5 GB cap, their data speeds are throttled to a 256 Kbps connection. Article
